| Try as I do, I do not see why anyone would like this movie. Although I tried to leave my significant other wanted to carry it out. It was billed as Adam Sandler and severe emotional break through the screen. For me it was 1 1 / 2 hours of unbearable pain as a spectator. I was thinking it could get better, but what a disappointment. Listen to the audience when they left, I was not alone. Any woman who wants to have a serious relationship with a character that portrays definitely need professional help. If he plays his part well, but why so? Sorry, I guess I do not understand. I am an avid fan of movies, and even Adam Sandler is not one of my favorites, some of his films have been fun. This is neither a fun / entertainment or satisfying. | This is a terrible movie. I mean really terrible. The fact that I bought a ticket for that still bothers me. How a DVD movie Punch-Drunk Love like this can give a good assessment is remarkable. Did critics think it is "cool" to like scum? This Punch-Drunk Love Comedy film is boring, very boring. The actor is unengaging and unsympathetic. The camera work is uneven, irritating and annoying. I can not recommend this in any way. Finally, I could take no more and left. B ***** ks! |
| Say, this film: Punch-Drunk Love was strange was the biggest understatement. The story is almost nonexistent. It seemed more like a random list of events very much unlike a character. This is supposedly a great shooting technique and "arty" but it seemed like a lot of bad (and often uneven) DVD film Punch-Drunk Love for me. There are parts of the Punch-Drunk Love Comedy where, literally, for example, nothing happens. Egan is just waiting for when the phone rings. The soundtrack is a strange and unpleasant - if the sound track has been different it might have been more bearable to watch. In real life Lena Egan would have dumped on the first date (or at least asked him why they were asked to leave the restaurant!). And what was the significance of the harmonium? Why have Lena's flat and then the next minute he was playing in his office again? If you want a stimulating and inspiring film, or at least a little less entertaining, this is not a good movie! In short, this DivX Movie Punch-Drunk Love is boring, weird, has a sound track highly irritating, the characters lack depth, random things happen for seemingly no reason and there is no plot. | I saw Punch Drunk Love at Gothenburg Film Festival and today I was totally overwhelmed by it. I had really hoped, because I love Paul Thomas Anderson films earlier. Magnolia is still among my top five favorite movies ever, and my expectations were too high. I must admit I was skeptical of Adam Sandler playing a major part. But he makes fantastic interpretation of the character of Barry Egan, a small business owner, pressed by his seven (!) Sisters that life miserable in turn has a love when she meets Emily Watson in the character. Watson makes a beautiful portrait of the lonely and mysterious Lena falls in love with Barry. The Punch-Drunk Love movie is not only well acted, it is wonderful to see. The camera is truly exquisite and Anderson shows his visual talents. All within half an hour of DVD film Punch-Drunk Love can be frozen and displayed as a work of art. But the most impressive thing in the DivX film Punch-Drunk Love is still Adam Sandler. Every word, expression and nuance is perfect and true. If this does not deserve an Oscar nomination I do not know now. Its performance is superior to the last five winners. Punch Drunk Love is the way a movie: Punch-Drunk Love should be. It's the way you want all the movies and how I wish I could hang on my wall. The poster will have to do. |
