| My God. This was a real big mess that could not help itself. Jeffrey (Jon Heder) is a man 29 years still living with his mother (Diane Keaton) and is going nowhere in the planning. Until his mother meets a wealthy businessman named Mert (Jeff Daniels), who can be married. It would have been a movie, while Heder as Jeffrey did not play his annoying from the start there is no opportunity to taste and only makes it worse and worse. In the end, is supposed to like him, although there was no reason why he had not changed since the brutal selfishness which was the beginning of the film. Keaton is not and was trying to be in terrible shape after 2007 because I said so. Not to mention the chemistry between Keaton and Heder shocking, and believe that it poses to her mother and her child? The only saving grace is Jeff Daniels and Anna Faris, but do not seem very interested either. Apart from some little smiles, the DivX film Mama's Boy really does not deserve to be called a comedy because there are hardly anything to laugh at! If your mood in a recent movie: Mama's Boy Mad Money Diane Keaton seeing suffocating or that are much better than this abysmal effort. |
| Hey guys, I do not understand why people are calling this film. I thought it was not great, but it was good. I first saw Jon in his escape Mama's Boy Comedy Napoleon Dynamite, and it was very funny. He played a geeky kind in that movie, and many people found his type of character in this DivX Movie Mama's Boy geek. However, I liked this movie, probably because I was a geek in high school and kind of bonded with her character. But I do not live at home with my mom until I was in my 30. Jeff Daniels, well, well he liked his character or not. Personally I liked her character, who plays the kind of person who likes to hate. Diane Keaton, I thought it was brilliant as the Kool-Aid Mom. She is the kind of mother that every child wishes they had. Anna Faris is funny, because I am used to seeing in their comedies like Scary Movie series, but I loved playing the character of the line once and for all. It's great to have another good next star. This Mama's Boy movie was very funny, but it has a serious side, the story was fine, the performance was quite good. I will not buy the film, but I liked to see him. |
| Starts well, enjoyable and create intro to the main characters, but after about 5 minutes, it loses the charm. The character is in the same mold as the main protagonist of American Pie and Loser or issued without the support of innovative films that made the story more than a foot commercial success. Let's be honest - Heder performance was quite poor. Keaton, Daniels and Faris did everything possible but no substantial plot or script to get his teeth into the DVD film Mama's Boy just plods on without any kind of rhythm or logic of argument clearly justifies its length. The end is as predictable as is - so predictable that I have checked the box for this line saboteurs. My advice: avoid at all costs unless you really have anything else to do / hear or see and then the producers are feeling cheated you only an hour and half of his life. |
| Mama's Boy is a first effort as director Tim Hamiltion written Hank Nelkin. For a first effort to get mild thumbs up from me. Jon Heder plays an insufferable spoiled brat nerd of 29 years and first class. . I think most of my readers know what spoiled brats need of any age. Yes they need a good hard spanking, which would have been a much better comedy if some or all of the other major players spanked him. Diane Keaton looks for big plays his long widowed mother. Jeff Daniels look too heavy, Dianas game suitor. Anna Feris (a newcomer to me) plays love interest to our nerdish hero. Eli Wallach (Spry a young 91 years old) is the employer and Heder friend. The Mama's Boy film is silly and stupid sometimes, but I enjoy the goings. Its really a family type of film, no nudity, very little violence, lack language.NO no car crashes or explosions, just dumb stupid funny. As I noted at the outset, if I've seen this in the theater at inflated prices today, allow me my time was considered lost, I saw this as a rental on my DVD, it probably should have been a TV movie, The running time is only 93 minutes fast. | Great film, Jon Heder typical movie. Perfect for a lazy Sunday. A funny DVD film Mama's Boy that left me wanting more. A definite must see if your a fan of Jon Heder, like me! .. Must say, although my favorite Jon Heder films remain the same School for scoundrels and Napoleon Dynamite, two very, very funny movie! .. The characters are all performed reasonably well, although some may be considered as' irritant 'in certain places. Definitely rate mama's boy like watching a movie. A fun-ROM com with a twist. |
