| Breakfast on Pluto is the story of a young Irish transvestite who goes in search of her mother lost time in Scotland during the revolution. Meet some very strange people along the way and runs into many strange situations, but no matter how strange the characters and situations are the actors and the director / writer never lose sight of the characters and story. Never allow the tremendous need to do more than take over. We care deeply for the characters no matter how strange it is, no matter how much we hate ourselves to meet them. In fact, it is quite surprising and a great achievement. The performances are absolutely brilliant, Cillian Murphy, in particular, is just as Kitten remember blowing the lead. There are some fantastic performances by Liam Neeson, Stephen R, and Brendan Gleeson, but it's really Murphy blow you away. His performance is one of the best film. Should have won the Oscar. Once brilliant film. |
| A masterpiece. I have not seen many other works of Jordan, but I intend to give his career after a thorough examination to see Breakfast on Pluto. They also have an immense respect for Cillian Murphy. To go from 28 days after red-eye layer and the fascinating exercise of Pluto is amazing. The history of the use of fantasy to escape the harshness of reality is so attractive, one might think this Breakfast on Pluto film could be accepted by the masses. Dreamlike images, multi-layered, realistic characters mixed with raw visceral violence policy and mechanisms to create an unpleasant emotional experience unlike what I experienced before. I intend to go to the movie: Breakfast on Pluto again and maybe again. And I urge everyone to go see this DVD movie Breakfast on Pluto and support. Instantly in my ten favorite movies of all time. | I've seen this DivX film Breakfast on Pluto twice, and I think is the best DVD film Breakfast on Pluto of the year by far. Cillian Murphy is absolutely incredible performance. He should get an Oscar for sure. Both of which I was to display for this Breakfast on Pluto movie was followed by a standing ovation, and lots of tears of many audience members. This is a modern fairy tale, told in the most beautiful way devastating. I can not honestly say enough good things about this film, and especially the performance of Cillian Murphy. I personally have never been touched by a movie: Breakfast on Pluto like I have for it. There's so much honesty, love and innocence. It is absolutely beautiful. Please, I go see this movie. It's really an incredible experience. |
| Cillian Murphy is excellent as an alien species to find its way into our midst. Give the other cheek as if it were nothing. Goodness, Cillian Murphy is in your character is - I am sure - beyond what the script may require. The goodness of his character is private. A personal discovery. I hope I am not the sentimental sound, as he / she 's not far from it and that is one of many surprises to enjoy a film: Breakfast on Pluto full of surprises. Neil Jordan had faced sexual identity in the brilliant "The Crying Game," which, as far as I'm concerned, goes further in "Breakfast on Pluto." No confusion here, all is blatantly true. Beyond words. A fascinating piece of filmmaking and acting of the purest nature. Do not miss it. |
| This film: Breakfast on Pluto is great and has nothing to do with the solar system (haha!) Cillian Murphy is complicated AMAZING in his role as trans-sexual man growing up in Ireland in the 1970s and their quest to find what you want in your life. (Do not judge Mr. Murphy acting skills just watching Batman Begins and Red Eye at this level of performance is more in the nature of his previous works such as The Song of the disco and pigs) Liam Neeson, Stephen Rea, and Brandon Gleeson are more than excellent in supporting roles. This Breakfast on Pluto film is dependent on its stars (Mr. Murphy), and shining. The themes in this Breakfast on Pluto Drama film are universal. Even while the story is a sad situation and the main character-Kitten-is very sad, somehow always becomes fun. Kitten The interaction between people and some of it is fascinating, fun and real life. Mr. Murphy is impressive and deserves an Academy Award for his stunning and perfect image of this complicated character. It is fabulous! I do not want anything to spoil the plot, but if someone has read the book do not expect the same situations or ending.This DVD movie Breakfast on Pluto is tender, sweet, fun, has a great script and actors who made this (for some) far-fetched ( not me or anyone else, but I know that one can have that impression) fairy tale as the story excellent. If you strip away the complicated details of this sexually transmitted male Irish and his travels during the 70 years to find the roots, universal story of a young man looking for love. |
