The Year is 2139. The Planet Earth has changed into a virtually uninhabitable place called the 'Cursed Earth'. In Mega City 1 (formarly, New York), There was a Judge, named Joseph Dredd, who was the toughest and most stringent Judge in history. One day, he was charged with murder. He was tried and sentenced to life in prison because of it. Then, Dredd found out that it was in fact a person who shares his DNA. Former Judge Rico. Now, Dredd has to find out what Rico is planning to do, and to discover about his past.

This is a classic Stallone. I really felt this Judge Dredd film stood on a comic book creation. It is expected and gives what one might get from reading a comic book adventure for the first time. Continues until the last page and leaves you with a taste ... but they want a new edition of this classic tale of the future. Stallone is a great 'comic book character and perfect for this part. I feel the public has something to Stallone can not offer ... and what this Judge Dredd Action movie ratings never exceeded, but this DVD film Judge Dredd was never offered anything like that. A real hidden treasure that I would oppose any derivative comic movie. A great escape. And apart from a large modern tugalongs more common in emotional drama.

I enjoyed this Judge Dredd film for what it was. SciFi Entertainment. If you've never seen Stallone in a Judge Dredd Action movie before I'm sure many people would have been much impressed with his interpretation of Dredd. You do not even have to read the comics for who he was and what he stood for. Stallone was good choice for Dredd characteristics can be very inanimate yet convey a sense of emotion and hidden conflicts. Armand Assante as brutal Rico! The anger and raw emotions he portrayed were chilling. Jürgen Prochnow also turned in another good performance. The form and Armand Jurgen play off each other is electric! With the addition of Max von Sydow was a nice touch of lending more credibility to the characters portrayed. I recommend to any who enjoy Scifi.

This DivX film Judge Dredd is much more fun than the boring Xmen 2 or Spiderman 2. Why not simply because a hero is constantly whining about being a superhero. The aim of a superhero is that it is super. I do not need an action DivX Movie Judge Dredd to have less action and more character study. Action films should not entertain wearing pants in front of the people. I want my heroes to be like the heroes, those who could not do with a slap. This is fast and one of the best action films of 1995, compared to just Waterworld, Batman Forever and Die Hard With A Vengeance. This is still superior to the films flopped. If Schwarzenegger was in fact in this case, but Stallone DivX Movie Judge Dredd ever true. Special FX are superior to the Playstation 2 horrible cgi garbage we have now. It is a real shame there is not a sequel. 10 of 10.
