| This was horrible, start to finish. Could easily walk to a shopping list of horrible things about this film, but to name a few: The performance, which was horrible, and not in support of all models of a ridiculously stereotypical. Then the plot. Somewhat preachy and ridiculous, not to mention blatant lack of originality. Come on, one hand the Diary of the Dead Thriller film camera has just published with Cloverfield? (a Diary of the Dead movie that does much, much better, of course) And last and by far the worst in my opinion, the writing. I hate to see a man like Romero, who has been so successful and made a lasting contribution to this DVD movie Diary of the Dead fall hard. The lines were bad, and usually just silly. Example: A teacher watching a Diary of the Dead film of their students and die dramatically states, "Only Flunk out. We Romero. Come on. Unfortunately, the DivX Movie Diary of the Dead would have been better if it was done by students of real cinema. Or better yet, a period of five years with a camera. At least this way we have ensured or more originality and creativity. Perhaps this Diary of the Dead Thriller film would have been a pioneer in the fifties, but now is just a miserable failure. Next time, perhaps Romero should stick to working again with Zack Snyder. |
