Joe, a rootless young drifter, finds work on a barge travelling between Glasgow and Edinburgh, owned by Les and his wife Ella. One afternoon they discover the corpse of a young woman floating in the water. Accident? Suicide? Murder? As the police investigate and suspect is arrested, we discover that Joe knows more than he is letting on. Gradually we learn of Joe's past relationship with the dead woman. Meanwhile an unspoken attraction develops between Joe and Ella, heightening the claustrophobic tensions in the confined space of the barge.

Dark, dark and brooding, Adam Young is accused of a DVD film Young Adam without tension throughout the process. Ewan McGregor and Tilda Swinton are excellent in the leading roles, both in the transmission implied guilt as part barge McGregor gets involved in an ill-advised affair with her boss's wife. The body of a dead woman on the Clyde leads that appear to unravel a trail that leaves a sick feeling in the stomach until the end of the film: Young Adam (and only then we realize the importance of the title). Located in Glasgow this bleak 1950 recreation is a sample of Scottish art cinema (although it does not have to go abroad for much of the funding). The raw sexuality in a changing environment by grittiest explosive aesthetic beauty in the DVD film Young Adam to explore the interior of the units of work through the characters and their dilemmas with them.

I am not surprised that this DVD film Young Adam has not become a darling of the viewing audience this time. Hard offers opinions, views this moment in fact, seen through the mists of history. The source novel is set in Scotland after the Second World War. Joe, the anti-hero is a young man of his time. Is motivated by personal freedom, as he perceived, at any cost. Sex has always easily accessible, it moves when it is not. He prefers to witness the death of others who face their own responsibility for them. He is a coward, who moves like a barge transaction transaction. He only feels safe when on the move. The Young Adam film is all mood. No dialogue fat. It is visual, the perfect medium for their message to a visual age. The performances are uniformly strong. McGregor continues to stretch their range. Swinton is immersed in his character. Mullan It is complex and believable. McKenzie is the masterful direction. Create a strip across the universe and the viewer in. If you're tired of reality television and explosions, go see this movie.
