I went to see this movie: Oliver Twist without any hope, however, i went surprised.The incredibly wonderful set and managed to portray the period of history very well. Then, the performance was excellent, especially children. The child who plays Artful Dodger is amazing and gives a performance that surpasses in quality, basically, all others.Lastly, keeping the real story of the book, which is always better than simply using the basic schemes. The only thing that ruined the end, it came too soon and left me in doubt of what exactly had happened at all and if the boys had not died or been suspended.

Roman Polanski's movie: Oliver Twist is an authority to assume Dickens classic. She is an expert pace, slowly immersing the viewer in the plight of young orphans and their plight in Victorian England. Through a careful reconstruction period, too, the characterization and efficient (all the characters are memorable), the overall theme of the survival of Dickensian innocence against all odds is dramatized with full conviction. The omission of the overly melodramatic elements of the original story (Oliver-family history, for example) greatly contributes to history by force to minimize any trace of mawkishness or implausibility, thus providing a comprehensive portrait of Victorian society its inherent inequalities and undistorted sense of justice. The images are superb and the prevalence of divorced and not easily judge a touching story is simply the signing of master director Roman Polanski, who is running in top form here.
