Meet Roy and Frank, a couple of professional small-time con artists. What Roy, a veteran of the grift, and Frank, his ambitious protege, are swindling these days are 'water filtration systems,' bargain-basement water filters bought by unsuspecting people who pay ten times their value in order to win bogus prizes like cars, jewelry and overseas vacations—which they never collect. These scams net the flim-flam men a few hundred here, another thousand there, which eventually adds up to a lucrative partnership. Roy's private life, however, is not so successful. An obsessive-compulsive agoraphobe with no personal relationships to call his own, Roy is barely hanging on to his wits, and when his idiosyncrasies begin to threaten his criminal productivity he's forced to seek the help of a psychoanalyst just to keep him in working order. While Roy is looking for a quick fix, his therapy begets more than he bargained for: the revelation that he has a teenage daughter—a child whose existence he suspected but never dared confirm. What's more troubling, 14-year-old Angela wants to meet the father she never knew. At first, Angela's appearance disrupts her neurotic father's carefully ordered routine. Soon, however, with his own unique spin on parenthood, Roy begins to enjoy a relationship he never dreamed of having with his daughter. But while he develops paternal feelings for the 14-year-old, she's developing a fascination with Daddy's questionable career.

The small problem that phosphorus Men 'is that there is a real highlight of the film, if not end there. I think the DVD movie Matchstick Men begins as a very good movie. Roy Waller (Nicolas Cage) and Frank Mercer (Sam Rockwell) are with the artists and the movie: Matchstick Men opens with showing how to collect some money. It is not as big as the manner in which George Clooney in 'Out of Sight, "but it is fun. After this, the Matchstick Men Comedy film shows that Roy is a guy with all kinds of strange things. Spasms, panic attacks, behavior compulsive. He wants to clean things up, wants things a certain way, or it becomes a little crazy. He pills these things, but lost, and this is the way that meets Dr. Klein (Bruce Altman) a psychiatrist. Because Roy has learned that a 14-year old daughter Angela (Alison Lohman, who was actually 24). Who wants to take care of it, spending time with her, and even shows what it really is. In a great scene that shows his father and how it would be if it had the same job as Roy. Roy and Frank are planning a large study in which collect $ 80,000 from a guy named Frechette (Bruce McGill). In a way they are taking money, but Roy looks so different. He thinks, and is actually right, just give it to him. Because it is illegal can not complain about having been misled. Hoe these three stories in a setting that has to do for yourself. The central part is a little slow, but how to stop that. All the characters are played very well and Nicolas Cage is great. Ridley Scott has made another film.

Phosphorus is a good man balanced film. I totally agree with Quentin. I just want to add that this movie: Matchstick Men is not only a perfect father / daughter to see. But he also spoke to people who need to revisit the objectives and achievements. The needs and the things you really care about love y. To have the courage to change what needs to change. To forgive and be forgiven. People have every chance now, just need to be addressed. This film: Matchstick Men can be a wakeup call, or guide their lives. I would readily take a 10 (excellent) for this work. I also recommend adaptation (N. Cage), also a masterpiece. Both would stay in my DVD collection. They become very close and Roy finds his paternal feelings existed.Ridley never thought Scott phosphorus Man (2003) is a brilliant movie.It 's especially great to see Nick Cage work.You really begin to care about the character with all its problems . Alison Lohman is a real find for the role of its great Angela.Sam Rockwell part.Bruce McGill makes terrific job as Chuck Frechette.Everybody 's just for parts.This crime is a fascinating drama that you really enjoy watching.And turn in the end is something that really did not expect.
