| I like the work of Modigliani, so I was excited to see this movie. Unfortunately, it proved to be disappointing. While Andy García is a good actor, is an unconvincing Modigliani - looked too clean, well fed and robust for (most) of the movie! The music was soft, terrible and out of place, rather than enhance the experience, became the most cheesy scenes, sentimental and trite. The end was too prepared, and only made the DivX Movie Modigliani more sentimental and cliché. Jane talks about his intense love for Modigliani at the beginning and end of the film, but I really do not even get to see - her character is flat. Accordingly, these "dramatic scenes" of her love for him goes as designed and ineffective. Another thing I liked was the way the characters spoke.
