The story of Frank Lucas is a fact is that it is more interesting than fiction. The fact that this character does not really exist yet I do not remember, of course, intrigued me. I think he was too young at the time it broke. Now approaching later I found forty desire for further investigation after seeing this movie. I feel Ridley Scott was surprised a person like Frank Lucas was actually able to do what he did and live to tell about it. Of course, share that surprise. The care in which the story is good. Although it is basically a gangster movie: American Gangster is not particularly graphic violence, except in a few scenes. Denzel and Russell even portraits of the two central characters are not as dark as the most stereotypical gangster / COP person ... There is still a feeling of doom and ever-present danger that the viewer does not know law enforcement, government, or the mob allowed this man to continue the drug empire. To summarize, I think this is an excellent telling of a true story of crime. It is intriguing, entertaining, and certainly serves as a reminder warning to remain vigilant in the fight against drugs.

Well, I liked the American Gangster Drama movie because the story was not very creative. There are almost similar to other films American Gangster. The introduction of the two main characters is too long. It would have been better to link the actions of Frank and Richie more effectively at the beginning of the film, rather than the center. What was great was the choice of music highlighted the prospects of the camera and more importantly the performance itself. Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington are well developed characters in the American Gangster Drama film and game are great seeing each other. The end was really good, too. Everything was resolved. There were no questions and I thought playing "Amazing Grace" was a kick. They could not have chosen a better song to show the irony in the game that everyone play.

I love Denzel and Russell. They have made great movies. This was not one of them. Does not deserve an 8, but does not deserve a 2 either. I'm sure it has been said, but there are too many unnecessary parts in this film. Who cares about Richie Roberts (Crowe) custody battle? There were too many scenes with regard to his divorce and custody battle. There is nothing in terms of character development, except to keep the pound in his head that he is a good man. Do not mind the 2 1 / 2 hours label, but the time could have been better used. Denzel is just one minute and the next a driver is calling their connection to buy heroin in Vietnam. I understand that the DivX film American Gangster wanted to be different, but it could have materialized Frank Lucas's rise to power.
