| Based on Goscinny / Uderzo 's "Astérix et les Normands" published in 1967, about this Asterix and the Vikings movie follows the plot of the book of cartoons, but introduces new characters: the daughter of Grossebaf, Abba (an innovation) an evil man and his muscle guliver half-wit descendants, and Goudurix of father.Another significant difference is that the album was called "ET Astérix (= y) Les Normands" the heroes and not to abandon his people. Half of the DivX Movie Asterix and the Vikings place in the Vikings'land. The Bard, Assurancetourix, which was featured on the album is reduced to a minimum, although it is finally ... It's nice to see, but lacks the puns, the anachronisms, wordplay, in short, it lacks the magic of the album when I read in the sixties (the best Asterix albums were made in the years sixties and early seventies), but the biggest mistake is the music: "eye of the tiger" is bad taste in this context, the rest of the score is wrong disc / funk and the last song and its "moral" of so unbearable, it's an insult to the Goscinny extraordinary sense of humor! | I saw this on television quite by chance, I blink through the channels and found Asterix and the Vikings, a Asterix and the Vikings film I had felt for some time to see (I'm a fan of Asterix ^_^). So, anyway. The start was quite good. Straight to the point, sets the plot and allows the audience to understand everything. But for me ... the DVD movie Asterix and the Vikings is all downhill after then. I can not deny, animation and art work is absolutely fantastic and beautiful. There is even the occasional 3D effects, and other special effects that make this Asterix and the Vikings Animation movie something special. However, I think, uh ... I read the book is based on (Asterix and the Normans), and I must say, I prefer the book by now. I think this movie: Asterix and the Vikings is too modern (I am referring to the songs, the thing with Justforkix pigeon was quite a good addition), and the added Abba, little loot. Want means the book was fun. And in the book, Cacofonix leaving the party with the people left outside, which was a great subplot in the book! But do not misunderstand me, the DivX film Asterix and the Vikings has its fun. Kids definitely love this, and maybe some adults too;) This is not the best Asterix and the Vikings Animation film of Asterix, but I do not think that is the worst, either. However, given the choice, I probably will not see again. |
| As a big fan of Asterix, of course I was excited when I saw that the decision was made to the adventures of Asterix, which returns to be encouraged, because frankly I found the Asterix and the Vikings movie to be really imaginative and unwatchable. The animation itself left me almost speechless. Also for the first time we have heard some familiar music in a cartoon ( "Get Down on it" and "Eye of the Tiger"). The story itself does not really follow the comic strip. Only the original idea that the Vikings wanted to learn fear and therefore Justforkix hostage who was sent to the village in Gaul to become a man, has been used. Some of the characters were drawn from other adventures of Asterix (seen in the comics). What bothered me most was the poor delivery of lines. In the comic jokes were delivered and more history is simply more fun. In the film, even those punchlines that were lost because the story around it has changed so much that it is actually placed in these punchlines and no new story! However as this is obviously intended for younger viewers to say that my nephew enjoyed it a lot, while the rest of us (my father, my brother and myself - the four of us went to see together) were disappointed and immediately removed the original comic book collection. Therefore, to convene all, you'll see a lively, listen to good music, all in all have a very good cartoon in front of you - but with a bad history. |
| ... but I laughed. A lot. Vi 'Asterix and the Vikings' in a public screening during the World Cup. The sound was terrible, it was too bright to see the screen properly - but I still enjoyed myself tremendously. The names of some of the characters I was rolling on the floor: Smsix, Abba, Vikea ... All not very clever, but in good tradition Astérix. Some very good jokes, but also some that not everyone seems to have. The only thing I did not like were the voices of Asterix and Obelix, the German version, at least. The voice actors are well known here, which is the only reason they have been merged, really. Do not meet all the characters. Overall, a good way to spend some time (and if it's free, as in my case, much better) and have a few laughs. 8 out of 10. |
