| Pixar strikes the mother lode of imagination again with "Monster's Inc." The DVD movie Monsters, Inc. has a nice premise that young children monsters to frighten the monsters can take the children's screams as energy to run their monster world. The story follows the monster "top" Scared "Sully and how it becomes a new man, uh, when a monster really nice girl named Boo enters her life. The animation is incredible. I'm surprised by how abnormal monsters can express human emotions effectively and with sincere affection. "Monster's Inc." not many laughs as the movie: Monsters, Inc. Toy Story, but it made me feel so good. Recommended. |
| Released almost back to back with ICE AGE, both films of carbon, basically, had copied the plot of each. I doubt that he did on purpose, but they are almost exactly the same thing. The two short films on VHS and DVD, MIKE'S NEW CAR FOR THE BIRDS and were not very good, but Monsters, Inc. was really a masterpiece. Although I did not go so far as to call one of the top 250 films, is still very good. There was a lot of adult humor in the movie, making it easier for me to see the movie, but this is more targeted to children. Generally enjoy Pixar's films, since they usually try to include a little of everything in his films (and thankfully are fools, annoying songs, including many children in movies). TOY STORY is his first film, and then to have DISH A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, and, more recently, FINDING NEMO. Its main large plot of nearly all these films, however, is getting old. It is surprising that the children did not realize that all your favorite movies * Pixar have the exact same plot in all of them. Dreamworks Shrek is a change of pace, as it was only a parody, but almost all the Pixar movies are a few friends trying to rescue someone somewhere or something almost exactly like this. Either way, Monsters, Inc. remains a very good Monsters, Inc. film as it did a major feat of completing a lot of films are not able to do today: Entertain people. Monsters, Inc. gets 5 / 5. |
| I thought Billy Crystal and John Goodman are great. I like them anyway, but I can not imagine anyone else in their duties. John Goodman comes across as warm, teddy bear kind of fuzzy in many of his roles, and this time was really drawn in that way. Crystal and Goodman were great together, even if their characters showed no signs of getting along. And Boo sounded as natural as children. There is no way an adult could have their lines of how they were executed. And the writing was so smart, this Monsters, Inc. Fantasy is not just for children. There are a lot of smart jokes that children could not obtain. However, the warm and fuzzy qualities of many of the monsters make this a perfect choice for children and adults, and I really do not know why it could not give an ABC television program the G-rating. May have been a bit violent or scary at times, but never all that intense. Children do worse on Saturday morning. |
