| I do not know what the criticism of this King Ralph Comedy movie is expected. It is a predictable film: King Ralph with a family issue, as others have mentioned, but I do not know what people find so disappointing. If you can handle the first 5-10 minutes of silliness, you can enjoy the rest of the movie. If you're looking for an innovative masterpiece of cinema ... Well, first, you may want to stay away from movies John Goodman. ;-) This DVD film King Ralph is good fun for the whole family has some funny lines and a pleasant interaction, and conflict / romance plot completely predictable, while the rest of the film, does the work that's supposed to do. The filling is bad, the good news is the girl, the hero is redeemed, etc. These are not spoilers, as anyone watching movies enough to be reading this site can see it all come in the second break. However, I was not disappointed by that, because unlike others, I do not think a King Ralph Comedy movie called "King Ralph" was to reach new peaks of comedy genius. I gave him a 6 / 10. It's worth looking for some smiles and classic theme of vibration. Also, I do not think that the British were lost big in it ... I think the fun cursi decent and having O'Toole et al be part of it was a big part of it. They could have chosen a better tone, "Good Golly Miss Molly" Ralph King despite the great performance. :-) |
| I confess that "King Ralph" is one of my favorite movies. Yes, the basic concept of the plot of the DivX Movie King Ralph has been done in many stories, both written and filmed, but the superb acting together with the not-so-subtle push British Royalty together in the fabric right over the top. Never mind that John Goodman is brilliant (as usual), but the excellent and very serious role of Peter O'Toole added a much-needed anchor for Mr. Goodman, the long-awaited antics. Filming locations of the movie: King Ralph as well as provide a beautiful backdrop for the production, heavily steeped in tradition and British heritage. Two thumbs up for this lively comedy that dares to delve into some of the most serious problems of accountability and real pressure. Highly recommended for fun entertainment, I "King Ralph" a 9 out of 10. |
| It is not stupid, is charming. A bit old-fashioned and corny, yes, but entertaining and fun and worth it! I just saw this for the second time in cable television and liked it so much like the first time! Goodman made bold and exquisite as the good-hearted buffoon that exceeds the weight and snobbishness of a group of bluebloods too good to their own bodily functions. |

| This King Ralph movie is insanely fun. The plot is highly unlikely, but if you do nothing but fun. The sets were great, the actors are fine (and Peter O'Toole as Lord Willingham was excellent). Some of the scenes, even managing to show serious as King Ralph is acting like a king. end of spoilers ahead ... The end of (spoilers!) Mr Ralph abdicating Willingham and appoint as his successor (which then makes it a Duke) was particularly funny scene that alludes to one of their previous mistakes. |
| I think people are usually hard to the nature of this film. Not intended to be completely accurate, but maybe I'm a little biased having starred in the movie: King Ralph myself (Jason Richards (I) on IMDb). You will see that I have played the role of Ralph II, the little boy who played piano / keyboard at the end of the movie! Having reviewed the film: King Ralph again recently, I consider as one of the classics that are not mocked. I had fun acting in the King Ralph Comedy and I had so much fun watching! John Goodman is really the biggest of the boys (although the size of what really scared when I met him!) I suggest to everyone who makes fun of this movie, this is one of the reasons was so great in the King Ralph film world. If not for Ralph King, who would never have reached the Flintstones or any other movies that have come to him to make a reputation. |
