| I have never understood the appeal of the comedian Andy Kaufman and I think this Man on the Moon Drama movie makes the actor even more enjoyable. According to the film, there's nothing interesting behind the so-called comic genius. "Man on the Moon" is a film: Man on the Moon of 2 hours to reconstruct key moments in the race for Kaufman, but said nothing about the man behind the facade of the show. Jim Carrey plays Kaufman and what the role can not be called to act, like a well-trained orangutan that mimics the real thing, nothing more. The cast of the Man on the Moon film is weird. Danny DeVito, who co-starred with Andy Kaufman in the television show "Taxi," Kaufman plays agent George Shapiro. The real Shapiro has a role in the Man on the Moon movie too. Very strange. Often the defense of Milos Forman for having the courage to allow players to create original characterizations, but I was surprised to see that there is a real person in the whole movie. It is a procession of talking heads. I have no idea why this DVD film Man on the Moon was made. |
| The DVD rental, which also included large behind the scenes and interviews sound incredible group REM. Five times they saw him again and again in a week and enjoy every moment. The Man on the Moon Drama film portrays the life of Andy Kaufman, the unconventional comedian who rose to fame in the late'70s and early'80s. Kaufman avid fans who know every detail of his life, complained of inaccuracies and lack of detail in this film. But for the rest of us who have barely heard of Kaufman, the film: Man on the Moon is powerful, moving and entertaining. Jim Carrey is a superb performance as Andy Kaufman, proving once again that does best in movies comedy drama. His image Kaufman is near the heart, and, in the words of his colleagues, it looks like Andy Kaufman had invaded his soul. Few people mentioned here, but both Danny DeVito (George Shapiro, manager Andy) and Courtney Love (as Lynn Margulies, Andy's girlfriend) does a great job. The public will easily relate to them, I admire his loyalty to Andy Kaufman and continue their march and emotional casualties. Paul Giamatti does a decent job in the portrait of Bob Zmuda, Andy writer and best friend. I was touched by the last fifteen minutes of the film, especially the funeral scene, laughed and cried with Shapiro, Margulies Zmuda and all the time. And if a Man on the Moon Drama movie could stir the emotions in the right way, who cares if some historical details are inaccurate? Rated R for brief nudity, brief scenes of struggle, and the scene with a foul language. Highly recommended. |
