| The original was an excellent movie. The flashbacks, action, music and, of course, history itself ... everything's great for the hearing. The sequels to complete and utter nonsense. I'm happy that I can separate the aftermath of the original in my mind. However, they were so bad that this implies a certain degree of mental discipline. Fortunately, I meditate on a regular basis and I am very skilled in certain blocking out traumatic memories. As far as I'm concerned the story begins and ends with the original. If you're thinking of seeing the aftermath please do not do himself. Do not inflict your memory of the original film: Highlander of this potentially fatal wound. Watch Highlander and take it for what it is. |
| The DivX film Highlander is the main plus for the Highlander film with some beautiful scenery in Scotland. The main minus the dialogue is incredibly stupid. Some of the characters are stupid, too, such as theology. The story: Two warring clans have "immortals" who can only kill each other if the head was cut off. The fight goes on for centuries as a good bad guy Christopher Lambert battles Clancy Brown. The latter is not so bad, but actually has a great sense of humor. It is disgusting and interesting to watch. I liked both of these types, but not as Lambert girlfriend today, a police forensic profane played by Roxanne Hart. Lambert was strange. Sometimes it seems like a man Neanderathal with his high forehead, sometimes has a strange accent. Once it sounded exactly like Peter Lorre. If you are a little older and I hate heavy metal music, it was noted: the soundtrack contains a bit of it. Also, if you see the name of Sean Connery and I think the DVD film Highlander has to have a decent script because here, forget it. It does not, and Connery's role here is very small. | Highlander is perhaps the final today, not the horror fantasy adventure. The use of flashbacks within the story is perhaps not unique, but the concept here is the full enjoyment. Such integral "flashback tales" would later be taken by many movies and TV shows (the same series Highlander, Forever Knight, and prohibits the latter). Everyone is well cast, the main functions (Lambert, Brown, Connery, Hart, and North) to the smaller roles (Peter Diamond, Hugh Quarshie, Sheila Gish, Christopher and Malcolm, among others). | Well, what can I say about Highlander apart from FANTASTIC! This Highlander movie has everything, has a brilliant history, actors and amazing sound effects and dazzling. Christopher Lambert plays Connor Maclean, born more than 400 years ago in the Highlands of Scotland, which is immortal. He has to fight for centuries after the battle against other immortals (some good some bad) until the reunion, where the few remaining until the battle that is still only one.
