| The main attraction of this Species film is Natasha Henstridge. In some parts reminded me of foreigners, at least, the breakdown of the exotic life of human bodies and the cocoon. The major disappointment was the argument that scientists to monitor their well-informed of their movements within a few minutes late. I believe that more could have been built hysteria if his whereabouts are unknown. Apart from that I loved the scenes mating with at least one topless Henstridge there. I would be the "victim" of a sexual assault as women with a strong momentum of mate. The end leaves the door open for a sequel. |
| Former model Natasha Henstridge, and steps into the role of his clothes as a deadly alien that takes the form of a man and escapes from captivity (in a heavily guarded laboratory sciences), which has held all his life. His plan is to mate with a male and try and father of a child and bad for the poor guy who tries to abuse it or refuses to go along with this plan, and is hot on their trail, are a group of people in the government should try and stop it before it runs more types of the human race!. Although filled with nudity and a B DivX Movie Species plot (which lets be honest, that's basically what this is, but with greater range) SPECIES avoids usual sordid trash can one expect from this kind of films and in fact comes with a very neat little movie. All the actors are impressive in their roles and their characters are very interesting. Natasha Henstridge is a good choice for the role of the SIL, she is sexy, beautiful and is a very good actress too. The direction by Roger Donaldson works well and the creature design is something ugly and beautiful at the same time (HR Giger Good job!) Definitely recommended for fans of science fiction / horror genre. Followed by two sequels from 2 SPECIES *** 1 / 2 stars |
| It is true that either have to be 50 years with a good memory, or be a well-versed student of the greatest science fiction, but in 1961, Miss Julie Christie made his screen debut in the British TV Sci-fi series A FOR ANDROMEDA. The plot? The signals are received from space seemingly deep-blue-print for the creation of human life. Scientists, of course, find the opportunity too tempting and before you can say "I told you it was a stupid move!" Genetic engineering is a rather impressive young blonde tour of the laboratory, causing all sorts of political unrest and scientific ..... Sound familiar? Yes, it was a total rip-off SPECIES conceptual and to my knowledge no one has noticed the act or was unable to stop this kind of impression. It is certainly not a solo Species film critic in the world that I read at the time was aware of the fact! That said, the species was not a total flopperoo though Ben Kingsley majorly seemed uncomfortable, if not surprised by most of the film, as the head of science Honcho creation really want (the delicious and statuesque Miss Henstridge) died on the view .. .. a task that Mr. Madsen bequeathes always enjoyed this kind of work! Never scales the heights. Not a major festival of gore or a jaw-dropping-ALIEN aspirants. In that work under its own mediocrity and when it finally ends, the only excitement left for the viewer is .. "Hmmmmm, OK, now I've seen SPECIES .... what's for dinner?" Compared to its sequel, however, remains a rare masterpiece! |
| Now I'm not a big fan of science fiction, but the species was not bad, which focused mainly on the story of how some foreign woman was trying to mate on the planet Earth and scientists are trying to stop it. It is simply the average of the story, but it was quite entertaining and suspenseful. Category is very kind and sometimes frightening, but it is quiet all adds to the fun of this horrible Sci Fi. At first, the public believes that the alien is absolutely no damage, but goes along the story discovers that if the foreigner is not fatal then captured could very well mean the end of mankind forever, this is frightening andalusia public and makes him more anxious for the crew of scientists abroad to capture before they kill. In conclusion, the "kind" is sometimes funny and suspenseful, but it seems that there is noway to catch abroad after a time it frustrates. |
