An asbestos abatement crew wins the bid for an abandoned insane asylum. What should be a straightforward, if rather rushed, job, is complicated by the personal histories of the crew. In particular, Hank is dating Phil's old girlfriend, and Gordon's new baby seems to be unnerving him more than should be expected. Things get more complicated as would-be lawyer Mike plays the tapes from a former patient with multiple personalities, including the mysterious Simon who does not appear until Session 9, and as Hank disappears after finding some old coins.

This Session 9 movie was pretty decent, creepily effective, right until the end, then it just kind of degenerated, and the final was a kind of disappointment. There are several loose ends that never were tied and implicit ties plot that was never explained. It was supernatural? Is it psychological? What is the relationship between Simon and Gordon? But I think he enjoyed to the end. I have to say, after reading many of the other viewer comments, simply because someone does not read or enjoy a DivX film Session 9 as it does not necessarily mean that they are attacking you personally and / or saying that your taste in movies sucks . On the other hand, are probably not asking you to "explain" to the film: Session 9 as if his interpretation is the only one. I personally, as he did this film, and I understand that it is difficult to keep all viewers throughout the terror level from the beginning of a DVD film Session 9 until the end, just felt that this ending was too easy, too conveniently wrapped. Just my taste.
Unlike other low-budget horror DVD film Session 9 (with a bunch of moronic brats lost in the woods), this is actually quite scary. Is far from perfect, but now has some rather disturbing, and makes extensive use of the configuration inside the mental institution. It was shot digitally, which more often than not reduce the visual experience, but when I saw it on TV does not bother me at all. The act works well, and even manages to Caruso watchable! The filmmakers create a chilling atmosphere, and are based on a mysterious feeling slowly building, instead of the usual jumping-murderer-out-of-a-private-with-a-big-knife scare tactic. The end is a bit ambiguous, and well that I think is great that you can make your own mind about what happened, or if you think they chickened and did not know how to explain things properly. I'm still a bit undecided on that one. However, it is well worth seeing if you're in this kind of thing. [7 / 10]
One fear, claustrophobic horror Session 9 Horror movie with superb acting, without false alarms, and an incredible scenario (The huge asylum is almost intimidating to watch). Session 9 manufacturers did an amazing job of taking advantage of a better, obviously, a limited budget. But lets be honest ... there is no way in hell that asbestos cleanup crews could clean up the site in a week ... maybe a few months!
I had read much about Session 9 before going to see it and had certain expectations. Although it started slowly, the story was good. The "fear" and were the most among the least I expected and there was some mild gore at the end. The psychology and personalities were what I found most interesting. In the days after seeing the movie, I found myself remembering what was thought to be insignificant things, and doing more subtle of the "frightening" things together.
