| Kidulthood is a hard reality. Critics and newspapers simply can not handle the sheer honesty of it, its rough, British and true. The upper class society have been doing this for years, ignoring know exactly what is happening. But they still avoid the use of the bands HOODIES and his jeans around his knees. Kidulthood, but a little too drastic and describes exactly how the generation of teenagers does business. The name is catchy, but could be better. You can not ignore the power of action and the realness of the language and the use of sexual references. | Like other reviewers here I am voting for 10 of 10 for Kidulthood try to correct the anomaly of its incredibly low score. Is certainly something wrong with the system IMDb when most of the comments on the site are positive, but the film: Kidulthood has a low rating. Anyway I thought Kidulthood is very realistic "urban streetkids' DivX film Kidulthood that perfectly captures the style, speech and violence that occurs every day around the city center of London schools. I think that is absolutely fine acting especially into account the age of most players - those who criticize the players really seen how the adolescents behaved children because I believe that all were very credible. The Kidulthood Drama was tense, violent and gripping and take a nice London on the issues of violence by gangs of teenagers. |
| Kidulthood is a snapshot of energy wasted youth in London that is imperfect, but certainly interesting. For the most part, the young cast (except for a very hammy jamie Winstone) are strong, naturalistic performances, especially noel clarke whose shocking turn as local badman sam, lets you forget that Clark "oafish boyfriend" doctor routine. What gives the results greater authenticity is slang and strong language dialogue that serves as an accurate representation of how kids talk these days (not know how old I am writing!). However, the mission of films to keep things as raw and gritty as possible until he finishes his drop in the script tries hard to make children appear to be so reckless and hedonistic that the problem just get in unrealistic and shocking for the sake of being shocking after a while. Moreover, the story is very predictable, you know how it becomes an even half their time. Kidulthood is not close to being as good as the likes of City of God or La Haine, but a well acted drama that I like to try to show a part of London that many other movies to choose to ignore. |
