A charismatic convict (Bruce Willis) and a hypochondriac inmate (Billy Bob Thornton) break out of prison in a cement truck and immediately start a bank robbing spree. Becoming known as the 'Sleepover Bandits', the two kidnap bank managers the night before their robbery, spend the night with their families, and then all go to the bank in the morning to get the dough. Using a dim-witted stunt man (Troy Garrity) as their getaway driver and lookout, the three successfully pull off several jobs that gets them recognition on a tv show about America's criminals. When a bored housewife (Cate Blanchett) with a failing marriage decides to runaway, she ends up in the hands of the criminals. Initially attracted to Willis, she nonetheless also ends up in bed with Thornton and a confused romantic relationship begins. Continuing along with their spree, the bandits hit the wall when the bank managers realize that they are non-violent and therefore no threat to them or their employees. This leads to one more big score at the Alamo Bank, where in the very opening scenes, things appear to go awry.

i cannot believe that this DVD movie Bandits is a box office failure. I mean what was wrong with her? was so good entertaining movie. forget the failures, because they are not worth being told. a little slow in some places, but the scenes are really funny funny and I laughed. is obviously a Bandits movie worthwhile. No trust me I do not believe in these comments that say this movie: Bandits is a hole .... I recommend it to anyone who would like to see a true artist. Bruce and Bob were impressive. although I was expecting a different type of end, but its good. Bruce chills once again demonstrates that he deserves to be called a superstar, but bob steals the show. was simply superb. but i only write reviews on bad movies, but I could not resist, cause there was a lot of bad reviews about this film. this DVD film Bandits deserves a better rating.

Fun, but without much vibration. Not the best films of Barry Levinson, but it is certainly not the worst either. Billy Bob Thornton is hysterical as Bruce Willis, a partner in crime. His method of stealing bank is more concerned, however, and the type of play. Visiting the bank president the night before and get on with their collaboration. Why this happens without incident, is anyone's guess, but I do not think its supposed to be deep or insightful or anything, and I do not mean to insult the public either. Cate Blanchett is the ride along, eventually. She does not belong to them, or anyone else, but adds a lot of fun. I kind of Billy Bob's hypochondriac on this side of Woody Allen in "Hannah and her sisters." 7 / 10.
