Set in the 1930s, this is the story of a young and beautiful actress Ann Darrow from the world of vaudeville who finds herself lost in depression-era New York and her luck changes when she meets an over-ambitious filmmaker Carl Denham who brings her on an exploratory expedition to a remote island where she finds compassion and the true meaning of humanity with an ape Kong. The beauty and the beast finally meet their fate back in the city of New York where the filmmaker takes and displays the ape in quest of his fame by commercial exploitation which ultimately leads to catastrophe for everyone including a playwright Jack Driscoll who falls in love with Ann and plays an unlikely hero by trying to save her from Kong and her destiny.

It is difficult to decide where to start with this mega-bomb, simply because it is fundamentally wrong with this movie. The CGI is below standard, the casting is suspect and the shear lack of real-life physics for a long, crowned with a boring unfortunately too many crappy Peter Jackson fly more shots for my liking. This vapor DVD film King Kong glop lot spits in the face of viewers at any time in mind-numbing scenes: a crew member to cover the giant insects that only have a delicate member of the crew to shoot the bugs off him with a machine gun, with her eyes closed no less, while not even leave a scratch in the aforementioned insect member of the crew deck. A dinosaur hunting scene seems so credible Fred flinstones adventure day (legs of dinosaurs and people who occupy the same physical space). A magic Chloroform ending King Kong on a boat, one that is too small to keep your mind you. And an ideal woman in a dress to go out on top of the Empire State building in the winter without even a bit cold. How can some of you call this a good film: King Kong is totally beyond me. Next thing you know, I'm going to listen to someone who really liked "War of the Worlds". If you like films that are exciting, enticing, intelligent, this piece of crap to avoid at all costs!
