| I really like Nick Cage, but I did not think an angel would be very credible. But guess what? Went. Meg Ryan and that is good and sweet (as always). There is a good chemistry between the two. Therefore, if you want to be touched and escape to a fantasy world, see this movie. You will not regret it. |
| It is truly amazing and a 15 i usually do not like these things, however I am a big fan Goo Goo Dolls and I heard this was the soundtrack of movies, so I decided to see it ... oh boy and I am glad I did. Interestingly there are some amazing cinematography. There are some impressive action. And some really emotional moments. I was loving this DVD film City of Angels until the end. And with the small problem that I am not a Nicolas Cage fan, but it was very good at this! In general this is an incredible experience. And it deserves your full attention. My overall favorite novel! Beautiful. Go and see it now ..! |
| After two years, this movie: City of Angels haunts me still. Every time I hear the song "uninvited" I got chills and flashbacks. I was going through something like that - falling in love with someone who was beyond my reach - at the time, so this City of Angels Drama really spoke to me. The scene where Seth says, because his mind is in mourning on the stairs, his reaction when the cut through his hand and do not bleed - I could go on and on. I do not believe that the cage or Ryan has done something better, sooner or later. My only complaint: not enough of Andre Braugher and Dennis Franz, and he had no scenes together. If you are a hopeless romantic - or even worse, a hopeful one - then you have to see this film |
| My husband and I saw this DivX film City of Angels together in a hotel room in Reno the first time I saw him and this was before they got married. This film: City of Angels has everything, beautiful photography, romance, a wonderful plot, and a point that he is very happy to be alive and remember to live life to the fullest. If you've never seen this City of Angels movie I recommend, is a pleasant surprise. My husband and I still see all the possibilities we have. |
| oh, puhleez! There is nothing more to say than that it is pretentious intellectual ________ (you supply the name). I could not see "Himmel ueber Berlin" - the original title of "Wings of Desire" and had heard that a U.S. remake been done. I had thought it would be so bad. Era, although there were some scenes halfway acceptable. I just saw him (on TNT) because a friend of mine who was watching. It was just as terrible as the original, but I like Meg Ryan. |
| A very different view of the world of angels and their interaction with humans. If this were a story about the devil, IMDB have many comments so I am not surprised to read so many negative. I do not believe that angels wear black, but I do believe in the premise of this film: "Sometimes things are true whether you believe in them or not." Meg Ryan, a very unlikely, is entirely credible as an obsessive-compulsive doctor that never sleeps. When you lose a patient for the first time, weeping bitterly and could not understand how it could have happened - all witnessed by Nicolas Cage as Seth, an angel who was sent to escort the patient to heaven. Cage can be seen by Ryan in a hospital corridor and sweetly asks, "Are you in despair?" This extends all the conversation, the woman in the audience in the evolution of their relationship. Yeah, I guess this is definitely a woman's movie. Other lesser roles were very good. Dennis Franz nails from a former angel who has "fallen to earth." (I do not see the TV so this was the first time I saw him act - I was impressed.) Andre Braugher, Homicide before (I did see a show) was brilliant as the angel Seth closest friend, although there was little lines, as usual Braugher cash. Her smile at the end of the DivX Movie City of Angels stays with you. |
| I found this DivX Movie City of Angels on the surface, a poignant love story (though the premise of an angel and human fall in love is absurd). The DVD film City of Angels is quite capable of evoking emotion. I think what touches me most is that we remember that we are surrounded by angels. It is not something that I realize that thinking, and I have always believed that. I think it is a visually stunning City of Angels film for the scenery and music (especially the song IRIS). Meg Ryan was challenged to step outside its usual romantic comedy type, but seems quite adequately handle the drama. I'm not a big fan of Nick Cage - but not well enough here. He seems a little silly and romantic to me. But he can act. There is a clear Suspenso ending so that those tissues handy. |
