Carlito Brigante is released from jail after serving five years of a much longer stretch. He vows to go straight and to live life as a fine, upstanding citizen. He even rekindles a romance with his ex-lover. However, Carlito's associates cannot seem to leave him in peace...his nephew involves him a pool-room gunfight, his lawyer asks him for 'favours' which spiral out of control, and even an old friend (now a wheelchair bound paraplegic) tries to get him into trouble with the law. Carlito decides to make a run for Florida and the promise of a new life, but has one final dramatic escape to make from some hoods who believe (wrongly) that he was behind the murder of their boss.

It really made me feel stupid because i avoid watching this Carlito's Way Thriller film for a long time for apparently no reason. Nothing had prepared me for what was ahead when he did finally decide to give him a chance. It is a masterful piece of Carlito's Way film and has all the ingredients you need in one masterpiece. The cast is simply brilliant headed by Al Pacino, actor perhaps best seen on the screen of America and Senn Penn, which was very annoying to victims of war (1989) but this Carlito's Way Thriller film was not a good if not great job. One of the few good movies of Brian De Palma's long career and he definitely does not deserve to be underestimated, I can not believe it was not nominated for the Oscars or Golden Globes or without any other grand prize. 10/10

as with some other comments I read, I too was a Carlito's Way movie this afternoon to eat, and someone introduced me to that I say thank you after I had seen and what I have done, this is my favorite DVD film Carlito's Way of all times, is not the best movie, but my favorite The script is like the poetry that flows just as sweet in the Carlito's Way Thriller film and music to make a Carlito's Way movie that I think is better Depalmers, Al Pacino and Sean Penn best role was amazing also has the third best place of all time, when the pool is in the room trying to save his cousin, "who want to live large while going to die big time"

This is one of the two great works of a true master - Brian de Palma. Like its "brother", Scarface, the DivX Movie Carlito's Way gives us an idea of the criminal world, however, cruelty, deceit, lies and death decisions that can change lives forever. As noted in recent days of a retired gangster Carlito Brigante is difficult not to admire the director's powers, as usual very good story of a man trying to leave the company becomes an epic and a cult Carlito's Way film in the door of our eyes. The Carlito's Way film also contains some important messages, and one of the most important is: "Never give up your friends, no matter what ..." The DVD movie Carlito's Way has an excellent cast (Pacino is great, as usual, and Sean Penn does an amazing job as repulsive corrupt lawyer) direction and soundtrack. 10/10, a true crime classic.

I have no idea why I have not seen "The path of Carlito" before it yesterday. Before I bought the DVD through Ebay a few weeks ago, wanted to see what critics have to say about it. One thing I agree with some of them about what they are saying this DVD movie Carlito's Way is very much like Scarface - It's nothing like Scarface! Brian De Palma and the participation of Al Pacino playing again despite a Cuban, "Carlito's Way" just like "Scarface" on the surface, the interior, which goes much, much deeper. This character here - Carlito Brigante - is nothing at all, as Tony Montana. True, he dealt the drugs like him and did other stupid / terrible things at an earlier stage in their life, but after his lawyer friend David Kleinfeld (Sean Penn) to help convince a judge let him off , emerging from the can and actually tries to go legit. But his past life still haunts him and he falls in situations where it tried to stay away from from the beginning. Anyway, "Scarface" and "Carlito's Way" are great movies, but are also very different from each other. As for the best: I'm not sure. Probably, "Scarface." However, "Carlito's Way" is a fascinating walk. 3 and half to four stars. Eight out of ten. A must-see for Pacino / De Palma fans around the world.
